Upon moving the clock for pictures and the pendulum swinging, the bell did chime on it’s own, but the clock does not have key so full functionality has not been tested.
Rare French Fusee Carriage Clock c1880 This rare drum clock is mounted in a circular nickel plated case with half baluster pillars with a central glass section to view the movement.
Side, top and base metal details are loose but all screws and nuts appear present.

Seth Thomas (1785-1859) began his clockmaking career in 1807 as an apprentice to renowned clockmaker Eli Terry.
In 1810, he bought Terry’s Connecticut factory and began making tall clocks with wooden movements.
Thomas added wooden-movement shelf and mantel clocks in 1817.
